Marnie Pollard MSW, LCSW
Since earning my master’s degree in social work from Arizona State University, in 2000, I've provided tailored support to individuals and families experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, family/relationship stressors, anger management, and life transitions. Additionally, I have extensive experience supporting youth and caregivers coping with trauma of past abuse, neglect, foster care, adoption, and divorce. Tools I’ll share with you come from a variety of interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (identifying how our beliefs and thoughts shape our emotions and behaviors), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (acceptance, gaining interpersonal skills, and regulating our emotions) and trauma-focused interventions such as Cognitive Processing Therapy. I’ve valued learning how to assimilate these therapies with mindfulness, life-balance, and self-compassion. Through continuous assessment and feedback, I’ll try to match the most helpful tool to your specific goals, current circumstances, and strengths.
As a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), I'm dedicated to advocating for the well-being of those under my support. Among the professional values I bring to my practice are authenticity, compassion, respect, collaboration, and a continuous pursuit of growth. Each experience shapes me as a clinician and advocate, and I'm honored to work with individuals, offering them hope and encouragement in navigating their challenges.
